Broaching Tools For Splines & Keyways In Blind Bores
The elmass® tool bars for blind bores work in the same way as the standard broaching tools. However they are machined as a complete part and do not possess an exchangeable guide bush.
As a result the distance between the bottom of the tool and the cutting edge of the cutter is reduced to only a few millimetres. This allows them to cut into narrow recesses or side bores at the dead end of a bore.
By matching the tool bar and the shape of the cutter to your application keyways, splines, hexagons and many other shapes can be broached in blind bores.
