ELMASS NC-CONTROLLED VERTICAL BROACHING MACHINES:

Elmass (Australia) Pty. Ltd. sells and services vertical broaching machines and push broaches. We provide a contract broaching service to demonstrate the Elmass products.

The P10-200 NC, P20-250 NC and the P36-NC vertical broaching machines are sold in a two axis or three axis configuration. The very versatile machines have a small foot print and are easy to commission. The machines are built on a modular concept that allow them to be adapted to specific applications as shown below.

All machines are equipped with a user friendly touch screen for easy programming. The interactive touch screen panel makes it easy to enter the required basic information such as bore diameter, keyway width, keyway depth, actual position of cutting tool as well as feeds and speeds.

From the few entered key variables the machine calculates all required machining parameters automatically. All parameters can be optimized manually if required.

All the two axis broaching machines can be upgraded with an optional Elmass NC-turntable at any time. The Elmass NC-turntables are especially designed to withstand the high impact load generated by the broaching process. The Elmass NC-turntables can be modified to work on other machines on request.

Elmass P10-200NC :

This very fast low cost broaching machine is the ideal solution to mass produce up to 10mm wide keyways and splines in smaller parts. This machine is optimized for speed.

The P10-200 broaching machine has very small dimensions: 600x750x2200mm.

Elmass P20 - 250NC:

This versatile vertical broaching machine is designed to broach up to 20mm wide keyways and splines in smaller to medium sized parts. It is optimized for power.

The P20-250 NC broaching machine has small dimensions: 650x1050x2300mm.

Elmass P36 - 500 / 700 - NC:

This very robust broaching machine is designed to produce very long and large keyways and splines in small, medium and large production runs. The P36-500/700 NC is optimized for flexibility and power.

This powerful broaching machine has the following dimensions: 1300x1600x2800mm.

Broaching machines for mass production

An increasing demand for broaching machines to mass produce a small variety of different parts has inspired our Head Office to adapt standard machines to specific mass production requirements.

The P20-250TS-NC is a new machine generation that can easily be adapted to production changes.

The new P20-250TS-NC is an extended P20-250 broaching machine. It holds 2 exchangeable mounting stations.  The stations hold preset hydraulic clamping fixtures that lock parts firmly into the correct position for broaching.

The stations can be rolled into the main frame from both sides. Once a station is placed in the operating position it is activated by touching the relevant button on the interactive screen.This connects the hydraulic to the clamping fixtures and component ejectors.

After the work pieces are loaded the start button on the right hand side of the frame is pressed.  This starts the machining cycle and locks the work pieces firmly in to the correct position before the broaching process begins.  After broaching the work pieces are ejected automatically. The machine broaches up to 200mm long and 20mm wide keyways.

P36-700 NC Dual Head

To mass produce a very large number of small parts a P36-700 NC was modified to operate with 2 broaching heads.

The modifications included a rotating platform that carries 4 part holders, a second NC-controlled broaching head, as well as hardware and software modifications that that reduces the dead time and allows the cutters and tool bars to be automatically cleaned after every cycle.
